India doesn’t recognise G7 sanctions

🇮🇳India does not recognise unilateral sanctions but it was up to the Japanese government to make its own assessment, former Indian Ambassador Anil Trigunayat said.

💬The comment came as Japanese PM Fumio Kishida told the G7 Summit in Italy that Tokyo would target third-party entities in India, UAE and China for allegedly "circumventing" sanctions.

🇮🇳🇦🇫 India urges Afghan businesses to increase trade through Chabahar Port

India Ports Global Limited, the operator of Chabahar Port, has urged Afghan businesses to increase imports and exports through Chabahar Port, according to a statement issued by the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) on Saturday.

🤝 Muhammad Anwar Arifi, deputy CEO of ACCI, held an online meeting with India Ports Global Limited to discuss the commercial benefits of Chabahar Port if used for trade and transit between countries in the region.

Arifi described Chabahar as an important port for trade and transit for Afghanistan and Central Asian countries.

🚧 The Afghan official urged the Indian company to remove "obstacles" to the use of the port by Afghan traders and called for more facilities at the port.
